Roberta is a Women’s Health Physiotherapist and mum of two from Somerset, UK.
She has a love of all things creative and performing.
She qualified as a physiotherapist in 2005 after completing her degree at UWE in Bristol. She completed her junior rotations in neurology, elderly care, respiratory, MSK (musculoskeletal), community and orthopaedics and decided to specialise in MSK outpatients. While expecting her first child in 2008 she started to become interested in women’s health.
Over the years she has completed many courses on women’s health conditions and now specialises purely in Women’s Health. She runs the Women’s Health service at her local hospital and has worked hard over the last few years to improve the care for her patients. She provides training to other physiotherapists, nurses and doctors on the importance of women’s health conditions and the role physiotherapy can play.
She is also qualified to teach Pilates and until lockdown (due to COVID) was running 5 classes a week including a chair based one for older people.
1 in 3 women suffer from pelvic floor dysfunction and all women will go through the menopause. Roberta has a passion to educate women in all aspects of women’s health so no one has to suffer in silence.
